Camozzi Series 16 ISO 6432 Mini Pneumatic Cylinders
Camozzi Series 16 pneumatic cylinders are the smallest members of Camozzi's ISO 6432 mini-cylinder family, covering 8, 10 and 12 mm bore sizes for compact mechanisms where installation space and moving mass need to be kept to a minimum.
The slim round-body construction uses a stainless-steel barrel and piston rod with anodised aluminium end blocks. Series 16 pneumatic cylinders are intentionally non-magnetic and use simple mechanical cushioning, making them a straightforward choice for small pneumatic movements where external piston-position sensing is not required.

Ultra-Compact Pneumatic Cylinders for Small Mechanisms
Series 16 is particularly useful where even a conventional mini pneumatic cylinder is larger than necessary. The 8, 10 and 12 mm bore options allow compact pneumatic actuation to be integrated into light-duty mechanisms, fixtures, small automation assemblies and machine sub-systems with very limited available space.
Because the cylinder body is narrow and cylindrical, Series 16 can also be easier to package into machines where a rectangular compact pneumatic cylinder would interfere with surrounding components.
Non-Magnetic by Design
Unlike Camozzi Series 23, 24 and 25, Series 16 pneumatic cylinders are non-magnetic. They are therefore aimed at applications where piston-position sensing through an integral magnet is unnecessary.
This simpler configuration can be attractive where the pneumatic cylinder only needs to provide a basic extension or retraction movement and external sensing is handled elsewhere in the machine, or not required at all.

Mechanical Cushioning
Series 16 uses fixed mechanical bumper cushioning rather than adjustable or automatic pneumatic cushioning. This keeps the pneumatic cylinder simple and compact while providing end-of-stroke impact absorption for standard small-bore applications.
Where controlled pneumatic deceleration is required instead, Camozzi Series 23 and Series 25 provide alternative cushioning technologies within the wider mini-cylinder family.
Stainless-Steel Round-Body Construction
The use of stainless steel for the barrel and piston rod gives Series 16 a durable construction despite its very small physical size. Anodised aluminium end blocks keep the assembly lightweight while maintaining the standard ISO 6432 form.
This construction makes Series 16 suitable for compact industrial equipment where both reduced dimensions and dependable repetitive operation are important.
When Series 16 Is the Better Choice
Choose Series 16 where the application calls for a genuinely small pneumatic cylinder and magnetic sensing is unnecessary. Its 8 mm bore option is unique within this Camozzi mini-cylinder group, while the 10 and 12 mm versions provide additional force without moving into the larger 16 mm and above ranges.
If integrated magnetic sensing becomes a requirement, Series 24 provides magnetic ISO 6432 pneumatic cylinders from 10 mm bore upward and should be considered instead.
