ISO 9001 Quality Management

Cylinder Warehouse is operated by Roladex Industrial Ltd and supported by its ISO 9001 quality management system.

The system provides a controlled framework for processing enquiries, reviewing orders, managing suppliers, handling non-conformities and improving the service provided to customers.

What ISO 9001 means

ISO 9001 is an internationally recognised quality-management standard focused on consistent processes, customer requirements, risk management and continual improvement.

ISO 9001 certification relates to the organisation’s quality management system. It does not mean that every individual product is manufactured or certified to ISO 9001.

Customer-selected products

Where the customer provides an exact manufacturer and part number without asking Cylinder Warehouse to verify suitability, the order is reviewed against the product reference provided.

Where Cylinder Warehouse is asked to propose a replacement, the available technical information is reviewed and known differences are communicated.

Approved suppliers

• Manufacturer or distributor status
• Product quality
• Technical capability
• Delivery performance
• Responsiveness
• Previous supply history
• Management-system certification where relevant

Product identification and traceability

Manufacturer part numbers, supplier references, sales-order information and purchasing records are retained to support product traceability.

Customers should retain the Cylinder Warehouse order reference and product packaging until the supplied item has been checked.

Alternative products

An alternative manufacturer or materially different product will not be knowingly presented as though it were the original item.

Where an alternative is proposed, the manufacturer and part number will be identified and known relevant differences will be explained before supply.

Non-conforming products and service issues

Continual improvement

Customer feedback, supplier performance, delivery issues, non-conformities and internal process reviews are used to identify opportunities for improvement.
