Camozzi Series 24 ISO 6432 Mini Pneumatic Cylinders

Camozzi Series 24 mini pneumatic cylinders provide a compact ISO 6432 solution for machine automation, small mechanisms and replacement duties where a conventional profile pneumatic cylinder would be unnecessarily large. The stainless-steel barrel and piston rod provide a durable round-body construction, while magnetic piston sensing allows cylinder position to be monitored using compatible proximity switches.

Small-Bore Pneumatic Cylinders for Compact Machinery

Series 24 starts at just 10 mm bore, making it particularly useful for lightweight automation where force requirements are modest and installation space is limited. The range then extends through 12, 16, 20 and 25 mm to a 32 mm bore option for applications requiring greater output while retaining the compact ISO 6432 format.

The round stainless-steel barrel also makes Series 24 an attractive choice for machinery where a slim cylindrical profile is preferable to the larger rectangular body of a compact or ISO 15552 pneumatic cylinder.

Magnetic Position Sensing

Unlike Camozzi Series 16, Series 24 pneumatic cylinders are magnetic. The piston magnet allows compatible Camozzi proximity switches to detect piston position without mechanical contact, making the range well suited to automated equipment requiring end-of-stroke confirmation or machine-control feedback.

Sensor adapters are available across the Series 24 bore range, allowing compatible CST and CSG proximity switches to be fitted to the pneumatic cylinder.

Mechanical Cushioning for Straightforward Replacement

Series 24 uses mechanical bumper cushioning rather than the automatic pneumatic cushioning found on Series 23 or the adjustable pneumatic cushioning used by Series 25.

This simpler cushioning arrangement makes Series 24 particularly suitable where a robust, straightforward ISO 6432 pneumatic cylinder is required without the additional adjustment associated with pneumatically cushioned designs.

Single-Acting and Through-Rod Options

Selected 16, 20, 25 and 32 mm Series 24 pneumatic cylinders are available in single-acting configurations with spring return. Through-rod versions are also available on selected sizes where the application requires access to both ends of the piston rod or more balanced mechanical behaviour.

Because the available operating configurations vary with bore size, the complete Series 24 part number should be checked when replacing an existing pneumatic cylinder.

Series 24 Rod-Lock Options

Camozzi also provides rod-lock configurations for selected 20 and 25 mm Series 24 pneumatic cylinders. These allow the piston rod to be mechanically held when required by the application and should be distinguished from standard Series 24 versions during replacement.

Mounting and Guide Options

The ISO 6432 construction gives Series 24 access to a broad range of mounting accessories including rod-end joints, foot mountings, flanges and trunnion arrangements.

Camozzi also offers dedicated guide units for selected Series 24 pneumatic cylinders. These provide additional external guidance where the piston rod would otherwise be exposed to side loading or where greater stability is needed for attached tooling.

Choosing Between Camozzi Series 23, 24 and 25

The three ranges share the ISO 6432 mini-cylinder format but differ significantly in cushioning and available sizes. Series 24 provides magnetic sensing with mechanical bumper cushioning and the broadest bore selection of the three, extending from 10 to 32 mm.

Series 23 is centred on Camozzi's automatic pneumatic cushioning system, while Series 25 uses adjustable pneumatic cushioning. The required range should therefore be selected according to bore size, cushioning requirement and operating configuration rather than appearance alone.
