Camozzi Series 41K Large-Bore Profile Pneumatic Cylinders
Camozzi Series 41K pneumatic cylinders provide large-bore ISO 15552 actuation in a clean aluminium-profile body. Available with 160 or 200 mm bores, the range is designed for machinery requiring substantial pneumatic force while retaining an established international mounting standard.
A key feature of Series 41K is its profile construction. The tie rods are positioned internally rather than remaining exposed around the outside of the pneumatic cylinder, creating a cleaner external form while securely connecting the end blocks and cylinder tube.

A Cleaner Approach to Large-Bore Pneumatic Actuation
Large pneumatic cylinders are normally visually dominated by their construction and mounting hardware. Series 41K takes a different approach by enclosing the tie-rod arrangement within the profile, giving the pneumatic cylinder a more integrated external shape.
For machine builders, this provides a substantial 160 or 200 mm bore actuator without moving away from ISO 15552 mounting geometry. For replacement work, it also means an existing Series 41K installation can retain its established mounting arrangement while the original pneumatic cylinder is replaced.
160 mm or 200 mm Bore?
The choice between the two Series 41K sizes should be driven primarily by the force required at the machine's actual operating pressure. Moving from 160 mm to 200 mm bore increases the piston area considerably and therefore changes both available force and compressed-air consumption.
The complete pneumatic circuit should be considered when specifying either size. A large-bore pneumatic cylinder may require substantial airflow, particularly where the stroke is long or rapid extension and retraction are required.
Adjustable End-of-Stroke Control
Series 41K is equipped with adjustable pneumatic cushioning controlled from the cylinder end block. This allows deceleration to be tuned to suit the application rather than allowing a large moving mass to reach the end of its stroke abruptly.
On a large-bore pneumatic cylinder, correct cushioning adjustment is particularly important because the forces and moving masses can be considerably greater than those encountered on smaller machine actuators.
Mounting Series 41K Into Industrial Machinery
Camozzi Series 41K can use the established ISO 15552 accessory system. Mounting arrangements include front and rear flanges, foot mounts, centre trunnions and front or rear trunnion configurations.
This gives the designer flexibility to use the pneumatic cylinder as a fixed linear actuator or as part of an articulated mechanism where the cylinder needs to pivot as the machine moves.
Standard and Through-Rod Series 41K Pneumatic Cylinders
Camozzi offers Series 41K in conventional single-rod and through-rod configurations. Through-rod versions extend the piston rod from both ends of the pneumatic cylinder and include front and rear cushioning.
The through-rod arrangement should be specified where the machine design genuinely requires it; it is not simply an interchangeable variation of the standard Series 41K pneumatic cylinder.
Series 41K or Series 40K?
Both families provide large-bore ISO 15552 pneumatic actuation, but they are not identical ranges. Series 41K is an aluminium-profile pneumatic cylinder specifically covering 160 and 200 mm bores, with its tie rods contained internally within the profile.
Series 40K extends much further into the very large 250 and 320 mm bore sizes. If the application requires those larger diameters, Series 40K becomes the relevant family. For a 160 or 200 mm requirement, construction style and the exact existing Camozzi specification should be considered before selecting between the two.
Questions Buyers Ask About Series 41K
Why would I choose Series 41K instead of Series 40K at 160 or 200 mm bore?
Series 41K uses an aluminium-profile construction with the tie rods positioned internally. Series 40K has a different construction and also extends into substantially larger 250 and 320 mm bores. Where both families cover the required size, the existing installation and required construction should determine the correct choice.
Can I retain ISO mountings when replacing a Series 41K pneumatic cylinder?
Series 41K conforms to ISO 15552 and is designed to work with the corresponding standard mounting accessory range. The exact mounting arrangement should still be checked against the existing machine before ordering.
Is a through-rod Series 41K the same length as the standard version?
No assumption should be made that the two configurations are mechanically identical. Through-rod pneumatic cylinders have a different rod arrangement and should be selected using the correct Camozzi configuration for the machine.
Does a 200 mm Series 41K need a larger pneumatic supply than a 160 mm version?
For the same stroke and cycle rate, the 200 mm pneumatic cylinder has a greater internal volume and will generally require more compressed air. Valve flow, pipework and cycle-speed requirements should therefore be considered when moving to the larger bore.
I have an old 41K pneumatic cylinder but the label is difficult to read. What matters most?
Do not identify it from diameter alone. Confirm whether it is 160 or 200 mm bore, measure the stroke, establish whether it is standard or through rod, identify the mounting arrangement and check any surviving characters from the Camozzi code before purchasing a replacement.
