ISO 15552 pneumatic cylinders are profile or tie-rod cylinders manufactured around a recognised industrial cylinder standard. They are widely used on production machinery, conveyors, packaging equipment, processing systems, machine guards, transfer equipment and general factory automation.
This cylinder format is commonly selected for pushing, lifting, pressing, stopping, clamping and positioning duties where a robust standard actuator is required. Available specifications can include different bore sizes, stroke lengths, cushioning arrangements, piston rod options, port sizes and mounting styles.
ISO 15552 defines key dimensional principles, but cylinders from different manufacturers should not be treated as automatically interchangeable. Check the complete dimensions, mounting interface, piston rod thread, port position, cushioning and technical specification before replacing an existing cylinder.
